(21st March 2013) - Nearly 1,000 South Sudanese who left Khartoum this week have arrived in Greater Bahr el Ghazal and Upper Nile States.
The returnees were transported in a convoy of 20 busses and 9 trucks organized by Christian based NGO, the Africa Inland Church (AIC).
Many of the returnees are complaining of a lack of food throughout the three day journey.
Another batch of returnees has also left Khartoum by road, destined for Upper Nile State.
This next batch of 900 returnees left Khartoum on Wednesday in busses and trucks and will pass through Kosti and Renk before arriving in Malakal in the next few days.
The assistant Bishop of the AIC in South Sudan, Martin Mogga Ifoga, revealed to Radio Miraya that some South Sudanese in Khartoum are hesitant to come back home.
