Nearly 13,000 displaced receive food aid in Pibor

(18 February, 2013) - Nearly 13,000 people displaced by a recent crisis in Pibor County, Jonglei State, have been provided with food aid.

The World Food Program (WFP) dispatched the food aid to Pibor and Gumuruk on the 11th of February.
WFP distributed 15-day food rations to more than 2,558 displaced persons in Gumuruk and 5,000 others in Pibor. WFP said it also distributed food to more than 5,000 displaced people from Likoungole, who are currently in Pibor. This was carried out in collaboration with WFP partners on the ground in Pibor County.
