More returnees arrive in Wau

More than sixty people, mainly elderly, have arrived in Wau of Western Bahr, Alghazal State from Sudan. The State Director of South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Mathew Chan Majok told Radio Miraya that last Saturday two planes transporting sixty six returnees landed at Wau airport.

Majok added that the returnees are being accommodated in Wau for verification before final reuniting them with their families.

This is the first airlift of returnees to Wau by air since the beginning of the arrival of the Southerners returnees from the North.
