A new housing complex was handed over to returnees in Western Bahr el Ghazel State on Wednesday, Governor Rizik Zecharia said.
The complex has 400 shelters, a police station, a community center and a health center to serve returnees in Alel Chok area in Jur River County.
Addressing a gathering during the inauguration ceremony in Alel Chok, Western Bahr el Ghazal State Governor, Brig. Rizik Zakaria Hassan, thanked refugee agency United Nations High Commissioner Refugees (UNHCR) for funding the project.
South Sudan Deputy Minister for Housing, Mary Nyawela, called on returnees to use the complex carefully and effectively.
