(28th March 2013) - Authorities of Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria state say there is a food shortage in Nimule area.

The executive director of Madi Corridor, Hillary Lokudo, said insects destroyed crops in the area last year causing food shortages.

Speaking to Radio Miraya, Hillary Lokudo said there is an urgent need for food supply to the local people.

He added that people are now relying on food for work.

He added that people are preparing land for the coming planting season.
