Several wildfires have been affecting the KwaZulu-Natal province, north-eastern South Africa since 14 July, causing casualties and damage.
Media report, as of 17 July, six fatalities (firefighters) and two severely injured persons (also firefighters) across the Boston town area and the Howick town area, central KwaZulu-Natal province, both near Durban city area.
Over the next 24 hours, according to the JRC Global Wildfires Information System (GWIS), the fire danger forecast is expected from high to extreme across most of the KwaZulu-Natal province.
