HIGHLIGHTS:

  • On 10 November, a tripartite agreement on the return of Somali refugees was signed in Nairobi by the Government of Kenya, the Somali Federal Government of Somalia and UNHCR.

  • The caseload of Polio cases has gone up from 180 in October to 183 at the end of November: Banadir (69), Lower Shabelle (34), Bay (21), Lower Juba (22), Middle Shabelle (18), Middle Juba (5), Hiran (7), Gedo (3), Galgadud (2), and Bakool (2). The total caseload as per end of November was 183. No cases were reported in Puntland in November.

  • Severe flooding in Jowhar, Beletweyne and Mahaday districts in Middle Shabelle in the Central South Zone affected over 66,000 persons.
