Tsunami Disaster - our response

The Coca-Cola Company has responded to the effects of the recent Asian tsunami disaster by providing US$ 10 million towards relief efforts. Africa sadly did not escape the ravages of this terrible natural disaster.

In Somalia, over 100 people have reportedly died from the disaster. In Kenya the impact was felt by fishermen whose boats were destroyed by the violent waves and in Seychelles and Djibouti the process of identifying the losses continues.

The Coca-Cola Company has provided $300,000 towards relief efforts in these communities and over the next few days and weeks we will work with our Bottling partners to identify the most effective ways of helping those that have lost their loved ones and livelihoods to this tragedy.

At this time our thoughts and prayers are with the thousands of people around the world that have been affected by this tragedy.
