Terms of Reference for the formation of Somalia Cash Working Group Strategic Advisory Group (SAG)

The Somalia Cash Working Group (CWG) is a platform for humanitarian cash partners to coordinate the delivery of Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) across the country. The CWG aims to maximize resources, minimize duplication, and enhance the effectiveness of CVA interventions in addressing unmet needs during emergencies. By facilitating information sharing and adherence to global standards, the CWG plays a pivotal role in ensuring impactful humanitarian cash interventions in Somalia.

Given Somalia's vulnerability to climate shocks, conflict, and economic instability, CVA has emerged as a preferred and dignified response to humanitarian crises. To strengthen the CWG’s planning, coordination, and technical execution, the establishment of a Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) was recommended during the Annual CWG workshop of 2024.
