OVERVIEW

Since January 2024, 822K people were reached with emergency water supply, while 624K people were reached with sustainable water supply services. This was achieved through the drilling of new strategic boreholes, rehabilitating existing high yielding borehole systems through pipeline extensions and increasing storage capacity, installing solar pumping systems and improving shallow-well based systems.

WASH partners have also enabled 469K people with sanitation services including construction and rehabilitation of communal and IDP latrines as well as health and educational facilities. To improve the affected population's access to hygiene supplies and services, WASH Cluster partners supported the provision of hygiene kits and hygiene promotion services to 921K people in vulnerable settlements and communities.
