This report is produced by OCHA Somalia in collaboration with humanitarian partners. It provides information on the humanitarian situation across Somalia in April 2025.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Aid agencies are rolling out a new, decentralised coordination structure to improve humanitarian response across states and districts in Somalia.
- Agencies have scaled back operations to match dwindling funding. This does not mean needs have decreased; rather more people will be left without support.
- Heavy rains have displaced thousands of people and submerged farmland. The flooding poses significant risk of diseases like Acute watery Diarrhoea/cholera.
- The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) delivered food aid to over 5,400 families impacted by drought and conflict and is strengthening response.
