I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES ·

  • Al Shabaab announces a ban on the International Committee of the Red Cross in areas under its control.

  • Transitional Federal Government Forces begin forcible evacuation of internally displaced people occupying government buildings in Mogadishu.

  • On 3 February, the Food Security and Nutrition Analysis Unit will announce new findings on the humanitarian situation in Somalia.

  • Increased transport rates could push up the cost of humanitarian relief.
