Somalia CWG Guiding Documents

In March 2022, the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) formally endorsed a revolutionary Cash Coordination Model, reshaping the landscape of coordination efforts in humanitarian settings. This model establishes a robust framework, designating the inter-cluster coordination group (ICCG) as the accountable entity for cash coordination at the country level, with day-to-day responsibilities delegated to a formalized Cash Working Group (CWG).

The adoption of this model signifies a paradigm shift in cash coordination, emphasizing a collaborative and streamlined approach to enhance effectiveness and response coherence across humanitarian clusters. This package includes four essential documents of the Somalia CWG: the Terms of Reference (ToRs) of the CWG, the ToRs of the CWG co-chairs, the election process of the programmatic co-chairs, and the ToRs for the Information Management Officer (IMO) of the CWG.
