The international community, represented in the Somalia Aid Coordination Body (SACB), welcomes the establishment of the Transitional Federal Institutions (TFIs) in Somalia and offers its full cooperation in the development of joint coordination and monitoring modalities where Somali representatives are equal and active partners.
The success of the peace process and subsequent formation of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and Transitional Federal Parliament (TFP) is a testament to the will of the Somali people to put aside their differences and ensure that peaceful political development and stability will hopefully soon prevail throughout Somalia. The international community of the SACB reaffirms its support to the TFG and TFP to find a comprehensive and lasting solution in this regard and in its efforts to relocate to Somalia and establish a fully functional government. Partners in SACB look forward to sharing expertise and experience with representatives of the new Somali institutions.
