Services Discontinued to the Moderately Malnourished Due to Funding Cuts - Beginning 1 March 2014
Monthly followers of the CTC Programme may have noticed a difference in this month’s bulletin. As of 1 March 2014, the Supplementary Feeding Programmes (SFPs) for Moderately Acutely Malnourished (MAM) children and Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) have been discontinued at SAACID’s clinics. As such, reporting on SFP for children and PLW will no longer be included within the bulletin.
Due to uncertainty in its funding and food pipeline, WFP was forced to terminate its existing contract for SFP with SAACID early, effective 28 February 2014.
