OVERVIEW

The humanitarian situation across the assessed districts is rapidly deteriorating due to drought, leading to increased displacement (741 households, mainly in Waajid), worsening water access and rising prices, growing disease outbreaks, and increasing malnutrition. Livelihoods are severely affected, with widespread livestock deaths and poor animal conditions driven by water and pasture shortages. Despite these urgent needs, humanitarian assistance remains very limited, highlighting a critical gap that requires immediate scaleup of multi-sectoral response
