The Multisectoral Rapid Needs Assessment conducted across ten districts in Southwest State of Somalia identified significant household vulnerabilities across food security, nutrition, WASH, health, protection, and education sectors. Findings show that most households rely on unstable casual labour, resulting in reduced purchasing power, food consumption gaps, and increased reliance on coping strategies.

Inadequate sanitation access, low handwashing practices, and limited healthcare access further contribute to health risks and worsening nutrition outcomes. Protection concerns and barriers to education are also driven by economic hardship and displacement. Overall, the assessment highlights interconnected and geographically concentrated humanitarian needs, emphasizing the importance of integrated multisector interventions to improve food security, health, WASH services, protection, and education while strengthening community resilience.
