79% (260 out of 330) of health facilities submitted their weekly surveillance summary reports. This rate is the same as epi week 22’s rate of 79%. This is below the expected completeness rate of 80%. The decline in reporting completeness is attributed to the ongoing piloting e-IDSR implementation.

Completeness of reporting is the highest in Banadir Regional Administration (100%) whereas the lowest report rate in this week is in the Southwest state (46%) – The Completeness rates are the number of expected facilities reporting to e-IDSR Weekly report and actual report we received in this week. While Puntland State has not reported in week 23 to the DHIS2.

Suspected cases were reported for AWD/Cholera (815), Adverse events following immunization (1),
Acute Jaundice Syndrome (1), Dysentery (389), COVID-19 (125), Measles (261), Meningitis (8), Whooping Cough (184), SARI (2746), Typhoid (464), Diphtheria (27), and Neonatal Tetanus (6). -
Currently, there are 2 confirmed disease outbreaks (AWD/Cholera, and Measles). In this regard all the suspected and confirmed cases were reported from the following administrative regions: AWD/Cholera (Bakool, Bay, Banadir, Gedo, Lower Juba, Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle Regions), and Measles (Bakool, Bay, Banadir, Galgaduud, Gedo, Hiiraan, Mudug, Lower Juba, Lower Shabelle and Middle Shabelle regions).

During week 23, the public health national referral laboratory reported 27 confirmed cases of measles, 6 confirmed cases of COVID19, and 1 confirmed case of Influenza A.
