On 4th December, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, attended a handover ceremony of the donation of medical kits by the Chinese side in the Ministry of Health of Somalia. H.E. Dr Ali Haji Aden, Minister of Health of Somalia, and H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mohamed Bulaale, Deputy Minister of Health of Somalia, also attended the event.
Ambassador Wang said that the cooperation between China and Somalia in health and medical care has a long history and plays a positive role in fostering Somali people's well-being. This donation is not only the latest development of the two countries’cooperation in health and medical care but also a visible part of China's commitment to supporting Somalia's peace and national reconstruction. It is believed that the health and medical care cooperation will add more momentum to China-Somalia strategic relationship.
H.E. Dr. Ali Haji Aden and H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hassan expressed the Somali side's deep appreciation for China's invaluable support in health and medical care, and underlined Somalia's expectation for deepening the cooperation in this regard.
