Freetown, Sierra Leone (PANA) -
British troops serving in Sierra Leone have retrieved 40 landmines
in the southern area of Potoru, UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) spokesperson
Margett Novicki said Wednesday.
The British troops in Sierra Leone have
been discovering unexploded bombs in different parts of the country but
this was the highest number collected from one area so far.
Novicki made the disclosure at a weekly consultative meeting between the National Commission for Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (NCRRR) and humanitarian organisations in Freetown.
