Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed food parcels to families in need across Serbia as part of its Ramadan aid efforts.
As part of the Ramadan Activities Project, a food parcel distribution ceremony was held in Smederevo with the participation of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Belgrade, İlhan Saygılı; TİKA’s Coordinator in Belgrade, Hülya Kırmızıgül; Amenet Mosque Board Member, Faik Yunuz; and local community members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Saygılı expressed his satisfaction that the Ramadan activities, carried out in the spirit of sharing—an essential element of Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage—will help strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
In his speech, Amenet Mosque Board Member Faik Yunuz thanked TİKA and the Turkish people for their continued support of those in need in Serbia.
TİKA will continue distributing food parcels to 1,800 families in need across Serbia, with a special focus on disadvantaged groups, throughout the month of Ramadan.
