Emergency management had fire-fighters and specialized flood response teams deployed to the field and engaged in rescuing and helping the affected population; damn strengthening and water pumping is ongoing.

Members of Police, Gendarmerie, Serbian Army and the Red Cross were also involved in rescue operations. Water management systems are affected and there is no drinking water, many landslides and mudslides have occurred and a number of main, local and village roads are impassable.

Traffic is suspended. Railway traffic between Belgrade and Nis and between Belgrade – Bar was completely suspended. About 100 000 households in area of Valjevo, Cacak, Loznica and Lazarevac are currently without electricity.

Ongoing high discharges (alert level 2) on Sava, Velika Morava (water levels are incresing), Kolubara, Tamnava, Jasenica, Kubršnica, Mlava, Juzna and Zapadna Morava rivers (water levels are stable).
