Senegal - Population Mobility Tracking - Individual Surveys (April - June 2025)

Attachments

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) implements the Flow Monitoring (FM) tool, developed under the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), to collect data at key entry, exit, and transit points. This activity aims to improve understanding of population movements across West and Central Africa.

Since 2017, several Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) have been progressively established in strategic localities across Senegal to monitor migratory movements within the country and across its borders.

This report presents data collected between April and June 2025 at two FMPs: Rosso (bordering Mauritania) and Kidira (bordering Mali). These sites provide critical information on the volume, direction, and characteristics of population flows, contributing to a better understanding of mobility dynamics in the region.
