The goal of this activity is to reduce the vulnerability and HIV incidence among orphans and vulnerable children and their households, and adolescent girls and young women.
USAID Igire - Turengere Abana reaches the households of the target populations to provide services and support and help develop livelihoods programs for lasting sources of income.
In addition, USAID Igire - Turengere Abana supports and strengthens sustainable community social networks and referral mechanisms. A particular focus is on DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe) beneficiaries, who receive a comprehensive package of health and social services that empowers them to stay HIV free.
