The 13th evacuation flight from Libya to the ETM Centre in Rwanda took place on the 9th of March. In total 150 asylum seekers were received in Rwanda bringing the current population of the ETM to 674 individuals.
Due to the ongoing conflict in the North-eastern part of the DRC, since November 2022, UNHCR has received 5,876 asylum seekers from DRC in Rwanda.
UNHCR hosted a field mission for the heads of the United Nations agencies in Rwanda, to the Kirehe District and Mahama Refugee Camp to showcase the situation of refugees and host communities in the district.
