- Heavy rains resulting in flooding and landslides have been affecting Rwanda over the weekend from 10 to 13 April, causing casualties and damage.
- According to media, as at 14 April, two people were killed, several houses were destroyed, and 27 houses were damaged. The same source reports a total of 97,000 people affected. Roads were closed in Rwanda’s capital Kigali, in the centre of the country. The city mayor urged people to evacuate.
- Over the next 72 hours, more rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is forecast across the country.
