This year Chechnya will have over 4,800
new school seats after the recovery work in Chechen schools is completed.
A total of 14 schools will be restored by September, which is the beginning
of an academic year, RIA Novosti sources from Russia's federal districts
report.
At the call of the Russian government
the country's seven federal districts have agreed to participate in the
programme. Each of them is to build 1-3 schools in different parts of the
North Caucasian republic for their own money.
The federal districts will also help Chechnya to restore other social facilities. For example, the Southern federal district will finance the construction of a social service centre in the Naurskaya village in the north of Chechnya and a regional hospital in Achkhoi-Martan in the centre of the republic. The Ural federal district has provided money for the construction of a social service centre in Gudermess, Chechnya's second largest city. (RIA Novosti)
