Russian Emergencies Ministry to send over 300 children from Far East to resorts

To help families with children affected by the flood the Russian Emergencies Ministry has organized delivery of children of school age to the All-Russian Children's Center “Orlyonok” in Krasnodar Territory.

On 1 September an Emergencies Ministry plane will deliver a group of children from the Jewish Autonomous Region from the airport of Khabarovsk to Gelendzhik. Children from the villages of Nikolayevka, Priamurskoye, Obluchye and Oktyabrsky, Birobidzhansky and Leninsky districts will start their school year in the children's center “Orlyonok”. They will spend there about a month, there are all necessary conditions for both active holidays and the beginning of full-fledged school year.

The next group of school children from the Amur Region will be flown to Gelendzhik on 2 and 3 September. Overall about 300 children from flooded areas of the Far East are planned to go to the children’s resorts.

As of today 1,219 children affected by the floods were sent to the children's camps of the Far Eastern region: 181 children were sent from Khabarovsk Region, 147 children were sent from flooded areas of the Jewish Autonomous Region to the children’s health camp “Ruzhino” in Primorye Territory and 198 children were sent to the All-Russian Children’s Center “Ocean”.
