Emergency Ministry’s psychologists continue helping people forced to flee their homes due to the flood in the Altai Territory.

The main places, where the specialists are working, are temporary shelters accommodating the evacuees. They are providing not only psychological assistance helping to adjust to new conditions, but informational help as well. People are interested in the current situation and the forecast for the near future, measures taken to stabilize the situation, information on social payouts and compensations. The psychologists are paying special attention to children helping them to cope with fear and anxiety.

In all, during their operation in the Altai Territory, the specialists have provided emergency psychological aid in 129 cases and information support in over 700 cases. The hotlines in the Altai Territory and Altai Republic have received over 2,000 calls.
