A delegation of Assembly members preparing reports on the situation in Chechnya will visit Moscow and the North Caucasus, including Grozny and Nazran, from 20-23 January 2003. Lord Judd (United Kingdom, SOC), Rudolf Bindig (Germany, SOC) and Tadeusz Iwinski (Poland, SOC) ? rapporteurs on Chechnya for the Assembly's Political Affairs, Legal Affairs and Migration Committees respectively ? will hold a series of high-level meetings in Moscow before travelling to the North Caucasus to assess the political, human rights and humanitarian situation on the ground. They will report back to the Assembly on Wednesday 29 January during its winter session in Strasbourg.
