Leaders of both Chechnya and the United Russia party are meeting in Gudermes, Chechnya, on Thursday with members of the republic's artistic intelligentsia, such as writers, poets, and journalists.
The Cabinet Office of the Chechen Republic told RIA Novosti the meeting is being attended by Chechnya premier Mikhail Babich, Chechen administration head Akhmad Kadyrov, representatives of the North Caucasus federal troops command, and Ruslan Yamadayev, head of United Russia's Chechnya chapter.

Participants in the meeting are discussing issues to do with the upcoming referendum, notably the election of a legitimate leadership.
