The event included the participation of 15 employers offering over 60 vacancies, mainly in the hospitality and service sectors. The event was attended by more than 150 refugees and members of the host community - Romanian citizens - looking for work. In addition to bringing jobseekers and employers together in a convivial atmosphere, participants received career and legal counselling, and attended thematic workshops. In addition, 336 refugees pre-registered for an entrepreneurship programme organised by UNHCR and World Vision Romania. The programme will provide refugees with entrepreneurship training comprising of six online sessions that will conclude with a business plan submission from which 10 plans will be selected for UNHCR-funded grants.
