BUCHAREST, 24th June, 2015 (WAM) -- The UAE embassy in Romania has started implementing its Iftar and Date Distribution Project, which is sponsored by Emirates Red Crescent and the Dar Al Ber Society.
The project includes food baskets and dates to be distributed to a group of Syrian refugee families, in cooperation with a number of members of the Islamic community in Romania.
The charitable and humanitarian activities of the embassy will continue over the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The beneficiaries in Romania expressed their thanks and gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the assistance he extends, and to the UAE government and people for their gift of humanitarian aid on an annual basis.
