Heavy rainfall has been affecting eastern Romania since 28 May, causing floods and flash floods that have resulted in casualties and widespread damage.
According to media, as of 29 May, hundreds of people have been evacuated from Covasna and Brasov, a few people from Botosani counties in north-eastern Romania.
The Copernicus Emergency Management Service was activated (EMSR802) on 28 May to provide flood extent mapping and damage assessment.
Over the next 24 hours, more rainfall is still forecast over north-eastern Romania.
