The death toll from the severe wildfires that burnt across southern regions of South Korea since 21 March is still increasing.
According to media, as of 2 April, the wildfires have burnt an area of 48,000 ha across 11 regions and resulted in 31 fatalities, 44 injured people, 3,307 displaced people, and at least 4,015 damaged houses.
Over the next 24 hours, according to the JRC Global Wildfire Information System (GWIS), the fire danger forecast is still high in the affected areas.
