On 21 August at 6.00 UTC, its centre was located inland over south-eastern DPRK, as a tropical depression.
- Its passage caused a number of evacuation orders and some material damage across southern Republic of Korea and the Seoul area.
- JONGDARI is forecast to continue moving northeastward over the Sea of Japan, dissipating on 21 August in the afternoon (UTC).
- Over the next 48 hours, heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges are forecast over the whole Korean peninsula.
