This report summarizes the results of the three rounds of mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) conducted by WFP Philippines as part of the United Nations joint programme on ‘Monitoring the Food, Energy, and Finance Crisis towards informed Policy and Response Options in the Philippines’, The surveys were conducted from October 2022 to March 2023 to understand the food security situation of households in the Philippines. From the results, we gained an improved understanding of the differential impacts of the global crisis on regions and households. Our three main takeaways are:

There were significant regional disparities in food security and that monitoring it only at the national level was insufficient; Economic vulnerability and households’ coping capacity were the main drivers of food insecurity; Households depending on income from agricultural activities were the most impacted by the crisis it has made their livelihoods more vulnerable.
