Typhoon strikes Philippines - CCF families affected

A typhoon hit the northern Luzon region of the Philippines recently, badly affecting one of our projects. Based on the report just received from Saleng Project in Baguio City, there were 12 CCF families severely affected. Their houses were damaged by the raging floodwaters and they had to move to evacuation centers.
Unfortunately, one CCF mother died at the height of the typhoon when the family's house was destroyed and she was swiftly carried away by floodwaters. Her 13-year old son has been sponsored since 1993. CCF has provided burial assistance to the family. Other families suffered damage to their crops, farm animals and properties. To help these families, CCF has provided immediate cash assistance for the school needs of the children like uniforms, notebooks and other school supplies to replace those, which were washed out by the flood.

Please keep these families and their children in your thoughts and prayers, as they try to recover from this damaging typhoon. Any contribution you care to make will go toward our ChildAlert Emergency Fund to help children and their families in similar emergency
situations.
