SitRep No.12 re Effects of Tropical Depression "Queenie"

I. SITUATION OVERVIEW:

On 26 November 2014, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur has developed into a Tropical Depression (TD) and was named "QUEENIE". It made landfall in Surigao del Sur on 26 November 2014 between 5:00 to 6:00 PM. It intensified into a Tropical Storm (TS) while over the West Philippine Sea on 28 November 2014 before it exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on the same day at 6:00 PM.

II. EFFECTS

• As of 5 December 2014, a total of 13,182 families 165,239 persons were affected In 143 barangays in Regions IV-B, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, and CARAGA, of which, 211 families 1962 persons are still inside 7 Evacuation Centers
