Philippines: Typhoon Koppu (Lando) Humanitarian Snapshot (as of 20 October 2015)

Typhoon Koppu (known locally as Lando) made landfall over Aurora province in Central Luzon as a Category 3 typhoon on 18 October. Upon landfall it weakend to Category 1 strength and slowed down to 3 kph. The slow-moving typhoon brought torrential rainfall along its path as it crossed the Luzon island. Reports so far indicate severe flooding and landslides in Regions I, II, III and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). The full extent of the damage is not yet fully known.
