Typhoon Bopha ploughed across Mindanao, the Philippines on 4 December, causing widespread destruction. HKRC mobilized HK$500,000 to provide one month food package to at least 2,100 families in the worst-hit provinces. A HKRC healthcare volunteer has been deployed to the Philippines in late December to support the relief operation.
