Successive tropical cyclones have severely impacted the Philippines, with Super Typhoon Man-yi, locally named Pepito, being the most recent. This storm, with sustained winds exceeding 185 km/h, made two landfalls—first in Panganiban, Catanduanes on 16 November, and subsequently in Dipaculao, Aurora Province the day after. Most affected areas were still in the recovery phase from prior cyclones, compounding the challenges faced by affected communities. Super Typhoon Man-yi, the sixth cyclone to traverse the Philippines in one month, has now weakened to a severe tropical storm and poses no further threat.
