I. SITUATION OVERVIEW

A. BACKGROUND

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) which prevailed since January 31, 2011 to present brought widespread rains over Visayas and Mindanao and triggered the recurrence of flashfloods, landslides and big waves in eleven (11) provinces of Regions VIII, IX, X, XI, CARAGA and ARMM.

Agusan del Norte - Sitio Kasilak, Brgy. Tal-ao and Brgy. 7 in Buenavista; Brgy. Panaytayon and Brgy. Basilisa in Remedios T. Romualdez. Flood waters already subsided in some areas.
