1. SITUATION OVERVIEW
At around 2:58 AM today, 18 January 2011, an explosion occurred at the summit crater of Bulusan Volcano (12=B046.2N, 124=B003E). This was accompanied by rumbling sound audible at Monbon, lrosin. The explosion was not observed because the volcano summit was covered by thick clouds. Field investigation conducted this morning confirmed the presence of traces of ash deposits in Monbon, Irosin.
