I. Situation Overview

- The southwest monsoon associated with heavy rains induced by Typhoon Frank triggered the occurrence of floodings, landslides, maritime incidents and power interruptions in most of the provinces of the 13 Regions affected particularly Regions VI and VII.

- There were 19 road network rendered impassable to all types of vehicles due to collapsed or washed-out, cut off roadway section and bridge approaches, road slips, collapsed roadslide structures, washed-out both approaches and eroded both sides, brokendown as follows: 7 in Region IV-B; 9 in Region VI and 3 in Region VIII.

- Eleven (11) other maritime incidents occurred at the height of Typhoon Frank with 8 dead, 23 missing and 57 survivors. The names of vessel and fishing boats are: MV Lake Paoay, Fishing boat Meme, F/B Nicole-Louise, F/B Angel Sweet I, F/B Ludith, M/V Princess of the Seas, MV Sta Bernadetta, MV Ocean Papa, MV Delfin OTSO MV Kinscebu and ML Katarena.
