A, Chronology of Basyang

12 July 2010

  • 4:0 AM - the low pressure area (LPA) East of Visayas had intensified into Tropical Depression and was named "Basyang" located at 660 km East Northeast (ENE) of Virac, Catanduanes or 14.4=B0N, 131.0=B0E and with maximum center winds of 55 kph
  • 10:00 AM - TD Basyang had intensified into Tropical Storm (TS) as it moved towards Northern Luzon area located at 570 km ENE of Virac, Catanduanes or 14.4=B0N, 131.0E (65kph)
  • 4:00 PM - it intensified further as it moved towards northern Luzon area located at 440 km ENE of Virac, Catanduanes or 14.3=B0N, 128.7=B0E (75 kph)
  • 10:00 PM - it gained more strength as it continued to move towards Isabela Area located at 320 km East of Virac, Catanduanes or 14.5=B0N, 127.4=B0E (95 kph)
