Current Humanitarian Situation

The total cost of assistance extended to the IDPs is Php172.801 Million. Of this amount, Php134.848 Million was provided by the Government while Php37.953 Million was provided by NGOs, INGOs, ICRC and the UN System. Relief assistance provided were in the form of food assistance (rice and food packs); temporary shelter (construction of bunkhouses); health services (consultation and disease surveillance in ECs and provision of medicines); psychosocial services and WASH services (provision of latrines and construction of toilet facilities in evacuation sites. Intensified information, education campaign on proper hygiene; and training of volunteers in providing psychosocial support

A. Internally Displaced Populations

- Total number of 1DPs inside evacuation centers decreased from: 19,481 families / 97,037 persons to 13,836 families / 62,073 persons due to the closing down of 23 evacuation centers in ARMM and Region XII. Specifically, the decrease in number are from the provinces of Maguindanao, Shariff Kabunsuan and Sarangani Province which decreased by 5,645 families / 34,964 persons. The number of IDPs in Maguindanao and Shariff Kabunsuan by 7,969 families / 45,394 persons

- Total number of IDPs served inside and outside evacuation centers also decreased from: 75,931 families / 375,864 persons to 62,317 families /295,516 persons
