1. SITUATION OVERVIEW

The active low pressure area (ALPA) east of Mindanao entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on 29 September at 4:00PM and developed into a tropical depression named Pablo. It intensified into a tropical storm as it moved toward Samar-Leyte area and maintained its strength while moving off the coast of Eastern Samar and crossed the Bicol Region. It weakened into a Tropical Depression as it moved northwestward and crossed Central Luzon and exited out of the country on October 2, 2008, 4:00PM

2. EFFECTS

- Flashflood occurred in the municipalities of Gen. Tinio, San Leonardo, Gabaldon and Gapan City wherein 758 families/ 3,790 persons in 20 barangays were affected and evacuated at their respective Barangay Halls and schools. However, all evacuees have already returned home yesterday
