I. Flashflood in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao

A. Situation Overview

  • A flashflood occurred in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao on May 26, 21310 due to heavy rains
  • More or less 47,552 persons or 9,388 families were affected in Brgys Bulalo, Salimbao, Limbo, Gang, Calsada, Banubo, Katuli, Macaguiling, Mulaog and Senditan
  • Fifteen (15) houses were totally damaged
  • A total of 840 meter span and 7.5 km span of farm-to-market road (FMR) were damaged and 39 hectares of farmland planted with vegetables, peanuts and corn were heavily damaged
  • On 28 May 2010, at about 10:00 PM affected families evacuated to Dawa Center, Simuey for their safety. However, on the morning of 29 May 2010 evacuees returned to their houses after the flashflood subsided. There was no report of major displacement and nor casualty reported
