Affected Population - Tab A

A total of 53,486 families/274,002 persons were affected in 713 barangays of 13 cities and 88 municipalities in 13 provinces (to include MM) of Regions III, IV-A, V and NCR. Cumulatively, 67 evacuation centers were utilized as temporary shelter to 2,485 families or 11,816 persons. As of July 19, 2010, the remaining number of evacuees being served by DSWD and LGUs inside 15 evacuation centers is 462 families/2,350 persons. Region IV- A has the highest number of affected population: 38,872 families /190,443 persons with 362 families/1,760 persons staying in 13 evacuation centers who are being served by the local LGUs and DSWD.

Casualties (Tab B)

Based on the latest validated report submitted by DOH, the overall total number of casualties has increased from 184 to 196: (dead from 79 to 91, injured from 30 to 35 but the number of missing decreased from 74 to 55).

Region IV-A ranked as number one (1) in terms of the number of deaths (55) and injured (24) while Region V as number two (2) in terms of death and missing (17 and 34 respectively.

The number of missing in Region IV-A abruptly decreased from 31 to 10 since most of the missing fishermen were already recovered.
